Bob got in the day before, returning from a business trip to Tianjin, China. We decided to leave our car behind and got a ride from a company called Four Seasons Concierge. We were picked up by the owner Sam, promptly at 6 am and made it to the airport without any problems. We boarded a Delta flight to Atlanta at 8:30am. The flight was uneventful (which is always a good thing). We arrived approximately on time, but then had to wait nearly 3 hours for our flight to Miami. Why we chose that long of a layover, I'll never know. But eventually we made it to Miami at about 7:30 pm. We collected our bags and decided to give Uber a try to get us a ride to the Aloft Brickell hotel. The driver arrived and hauled us to the hotel. Easy, peasy!! It was even free because we were a first time user and I found a coupon for the first time use. Otherwise it would have cost $14.15.
Julie says that the hotel is kind of a hipster hotel and we probably were the oldest people ever to check-in!!! It is ultra modern in decor. Julie has Gold SPG status, so we got upgraded to a nice corner room. We grabbed a quick bite to eat from their little convenience shop and then relaxed and went to bed.
